The Mongolian transportation systems
Mongolia has a transportation network of regular trains, airplane, highway buses, cabs or taxi, bicycle/scooter.

2. Regular trains
Mongolia does not have any high-speed train or MRT but there is a Trans-Mongolia line, which connected with two borders (China and Russia). Trans-Mongolian Railway connects the Trans-Siberian Railway from Ulan Ude in Russia (Altanbulag in Mongolia) to Erenhot (Zamiin uud in Mongolia) and Beijing in China through the capital Ulaanbaatar.
The train services operate every day northbound from Ulan Bator to Darhan, Sukhbaatar and Erdenet; and southbound from Ulan Bator to Zamyn-Uud, Choir and Shainshand. In addition, there are two train lines from Darkhan to Erdenet and Ulaanbaatar to Baganuur.
3. Local Highway buses
Highway buses are recommended to budget travelers and long-distance buses go from Ulaanbaatar to all province’s centers. If you want to visit the tourist attractions, there are not any direct buses to go. You need to hire private cars or to contact a tourism company. Ulaanbaatar public buses are the primary transportation system in the city and the cheapest way to travel in Ulaanbaatar.
4. Rental cars
When most of Mongolian people travel to countryside, they use their own car but for the foreigner rental cars are a convenient especially if you are traveling with a group or with tons of luggage. However, you should have known your destinations very well because Mongolian road system and travel service is developing. 5. Bicycles/scooters
In Capital city, there is electric scooter rent company / https://jetshr.com/. You can download the app and use the scooter. There are not any government rental bicycle or scooter company. Last 2 years, Mongolian people is increasing level of riding bicycles but there are few bicycles or scooter road in city, and it is difficult to ride bicycle.
